The Texas Rangers scored eleven runs while the Baltimore Orioles managed just two.
Wyatt Langford should be decked out in a yellow jersey because he’s on a roll.
After flying out in his first at-bat, Langford hit a triple, double, single, and home run in his next four appearances, making history as only the second Rangers rookie, after Oddibe McDowell, to hit for the cycle.
With Langford making a splash on national TV, the Rangers avoided a complete sweep on their road trip to close out June and escaped being swept in Baltimore. The trip was rough, with six consecutive losses before tonight’s win, but they ended the month on a high note by dominating the Orioles.
Even better, the offense exploded for eleven runs on 13 hits, with seven being extra-base hits. Coupled with a 10-strikeout performance over seven innings from Andrew Heaney, the Rangers are back in the win column and ready to move past this challenging month.
