Green Bay Packers defensive end Rashan Gary is eagerly anticipating the 2024 NFL season. Gary, under contract with the Packers for the next several years, aims to elevate the team’s defense this season.
Last season, the Packers operated a 3-4 defensive scheme under Joe Barry. This year, with new defensive coordinator Jeff Hawley, they will transition to a 4-3 scheme. Gary hopes this change will help him achieve double-digit sacks and improve the overall defense.
Gary recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show to discuss star quarterback Jordan Love. Reflecting on Love’s previous season, Gary noted Love’s impressive stats: a 64.2% completion rate, 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 247 rushing yards, and four rushing touchdowns. Gary suggested that Love could be an MVP candidate this season. Last year, Love was second in passing touchdowns, behind only Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys, who had 36.
Love’s performance was remarkable given the absence of a true number-one wide receiver and no receiver surpassing 1,000 yards. This season, at least one or two receivers might achieve that milestone.
The Packers fanbase is excited about Love’s potential, and Gary, along with the rest of the team, eagerly awaits his performance this season.
