Could this be the final chapter for the Dallas Cowboys

Could this be the final chapter for the Dallas Cowboys as they’re currently structured?

Their three key stars — pass rusher Micah Parsons, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and quarterback Dak Prescott — are all up for contract extensions, raising doubts that all three will be retained by the Cowboys.

However, Parsons is confident that Lamb will be ready for Week 1, and David Helman expressed a similar optimism on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak.”

While the Cowboys can’t afford to lose any of these three stars, it’s also questionable whether they can afford to keep all of them.

Lamb has emerged as one of the NFL’s top wide receivers, with Cowboys fans possibly arguing he’s the best, given his second-place rankings in receiving yards and touchdowns, as well as leading the league in receptions last year.

His value is even more impressive considering he’s just 25 and entering his fifth NFL season.

But even if Dallas manages to pay Parsons, Lamb, and Prescott, other challenges remain.

Despite their star power, the team has notable gaps in their roster, including the running back position and finding a true WR2 behind Lamb.

Paying these three stars would make it extremely difficult to fill those gaps while staying under the salary cap.
