“Here’s the updated ranking of the Astros’ prospects following a hectic trade deadline.”

The Astros’ Top 30 Prospects have seen some changes following the trade of pitcher Jake Bloss, outfielder Joey Loperfido, and infielder Will Wagner to the Blue Jays for veteran left-hander Yusei Kikuchi, as well as the promotion of pitcher Spencer Arrighetti.

MLB Pipeline’s midseason re-rankings of its Top 100 Prospects and the Astros’ Top 30 Prospects list were released on Tuesday. The list saw some adjustments, with outfielder Jacob Melton maintaining his position as the team’s top prospect despite being promoted to Triple-A Sugar Land last month.

Melton, who was ranked 65th in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 at the start of the season, is no longer in the Top 100 following the re-rank. Catcher Walker Janek, the Astros’ first-round pick from this year’s MLB Draft, enters the club’s Top 30 list at No. 2. Infielder Brice Matthews, last year’s first-round pick, stays at No. 3 after previously moving up from No. 4 earlier in the season. Matthews was recently placed on the injured list with back spasms.

Here’s a snapshot of the Astros’ top prospects:

Jacob Melton, OF
– Walker Janek, C
– Brice Matthews, SS/3B
– Luis Baez, OF
– Zach Dezenzo, 3B
