Jets’ Aaron Rodgers responds to Haason Reddick’s trade request.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers hinted that he might get involved in the situation between the team and pass rusher Haason Reddick. Reddick has requested a trade before playing a game for the Jets due to dissatisfaction with his contract. When asked about it on Tuesday, Rodgers expressed understanding for Reddick’s position but suggested he might try to help resolve the issue.

“Obviously, we want him here, but we don’t judge him for looking out for his best interests,” Rodgers said, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN. “I think staying with the Jets would be the best for him because it’s going to be an exciting journey. But he needs to do what’s right for him and his family.”

When asked if he would reach out to Reddick, Rodgers responded, “Anything is possible.”

The Jets acquired Reddick in a March trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. Although Reddick was unhappy with his contract at the time, he reportedly assured the Jets that he was okay with it and would attend training camp. However, he requested a trade on Monday, which the Jets have stated they have no plans to fulfill.
